Usage

MiXen currently only implements a ramdisk. This ramdisk can either be empty or be preloaded with some image file. There are some exmample configuration files in the examples directory.

The MiXen-NetBSD configuration provides the NetBSD installation CD image for some client.

The MiXen-ramdisk configuration emulates an empty ramdisk with about 1GB of free space.

When both of those are running, starting the NetBSD configuration will use those two ramdisks and allow the installation of NetBSD from the emulated CD onto the empty disk image. On initial boot, be sure to tell NetBSD to use xbd1 as its root filesystem. After installation, you can reboot the virtual machine, and it will come up from the ramdisk image.
